After leaving school Laura attended Henley College in Oxfordshire where she took an A-Level in Art along with English and Sociology. Deciding to try something a bit different she then went on to University and studied Biological Anthropology and Computing.

Bath became Laura’s home in 2008 when she moved to work in Bristol as a Project Manger.  Laura is currently an office worker by day and artist by night.

The Art

Animals, patterns, still life and monsters seem to form the main subjects in the art created by Laura. Painted in vibrant, bright colours, her cheerful and sometimes odd view of the World shines through with an aim of making herself, and others smile. The garden is a place that Laura likes to spend time and so insects, flowers and butterflies tend to feature quite a lot in her work as well.

ChilliIn 2008 Laura was picked as an Artist to paint one of a hundred life sized pigs that were situated around Bath for the duration of the summer. The pigs were later auctioned and the money raised went to a local charity.

Laura’s painting are mainly done with acrylic on canvas or watercolour. She likes to experiment with different media’s and has recently taken up photography. She has also purchased a kiln with an aim of creating sculptures for the garden.
